The San Marcos Police Department has released additional information regarding the identity of the person who was killed in an alleged homicide on Monday.
The Hays County Sheriff’s Office is investigating as a possible fentanyl overdose the death on Monday, Oct. 2, of a 15-year-old female student enrolled in the Hays Consolidated Independent School District.
The San Marcos Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in locating a man who they said is connected to the murder of Nathaniel Lamart Hudson, 41.

In a surprise turn of events Wednesday, it was announced that Hays County District Clerk Avrey J. Anderson has filed a petition calling for the removal from office of Hays County District Attorney Kelly Higgins.
As part of an ongoing investigation, residents of the city living near Academy Street and Hillyer Street were awakened early Thursday as members of the San Marcos Police Department assisted by other participating units from neighboring jurisdictions, served warrants in connection with an ongoing criminal investigation.
