The official proclamation made by Texas Governor Greg Abbott declaring that the month of March will be recognized as Athletic Training Month. 2023 marks 50 years of athletic trainers being licensed as health professionals. The goal of the proclamation is to recognize and help further the progress athletic trainers have made in their goal of caring for student athletes.

Bobcats take first place at Craft Farms Championship

Texas State men’s golf won the team title at the Craft Farms Intercollegiate finishing three-under and never dropping out of the top spot. This is the second team championship for the Bobcats this season.

Bobcats split doubleheader

Texas State split Saturday's doubleheader at Coastal Carolina to salvage the road series. The Chanticleers took game one 13-6 and the Bobcats claimed the nightcap 10-8 to earn their first-ever win at Springs Brooks Stadium.

A couple of us old timers were talking about some of the races that we could recall here in San Marcos. I started to write down some of the different locations that various organizations have held a race. I may have missed a race or two but over the years San Marcos has held races at 25 different locations. Not different races, but different locations for a race.
