Texas State suffered their first home loss of the season in a 2-1 defeat to the Colorado State Rams.
This Saturday’s game between Texas State and UTSA is the biggest showdown between the two rivals since first playing in 2012. For Texas State, a win not only gives the Bobcats a leg up in the G5 Playoff spot race but also would be their first victory over the Roadrunners.

The last time Texas State and UTSA met in San Marcos was during the 2020 season in the shadow of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Texas State is currently 0-5 all-time against UTSA on the football field despite the Roadrunners first playing football in 2011. The game is expected to be a sell out crowd that has the chance to break attendance records at UFCU Stadium.
